STW will work closely with your organization to construct a curriculum that best meets the needs of your group. Whether you want a one-hour “short” or full-blown week-long leadership institute, we will develop a training that will take your youth group to the next level.
Training Your Young Leaders
STW can work closely with your group to develop a seminar that can focus
on the following areas.
- Effective communication
- Group leadership
- Motivating team members
- Planning and marketing a great volunteer event
- Getting a group to work more efficiently
- Increasing the impact of your group in the community
- Fundraising and budget planning
- Conflict resolution
- Diversity awareness
- Personal and group evaluation
- Presentation skills
- Understanding personality strengths/weaknesses and how to use them to your advantage
- Confidence to know that teens CAN and DO make a difference!
What Spark the Wave Will Provide For the Training
- Trained STW staff to facilitate the program
- Curriculum development, production and distribution.
- Development, production and distribution of participant packet.
- Program supplies
What We Request From You
- Communication and advertising within the community.
- Recruitment of the participants.
Attendance on-site by a representative from your group during the training to deal with logistical issues that may arise. - Use of your facilities and payment of all expenses associated with the facilities
- Meals and snacks at the training (if appropriate).
Staff
We have dozens of staff members (both teens and adults) that have years
of experience running trainings for teens and they are eager to work with
your group.
