Operation Purple® Teen Camp @ Spark the Wave
A Cooperative Camp
We are excited to announce that Spark the Wave will host Operation Purple Teen Camp again this summer. Thanks to the NMFA and its donors, Spark the Wave will be able to provide training and support for approximately fifty teens facing the challenges of being in military families.
This specialized summer workshop will empower these teens to be strong community leaders, while helping them deal with and embrace the daily challenges of being a military kid. Through workshops on communication, leadership, group dynamics, service, and project planning, the Operation Purple campers will begin to see how much an impact they can have on their communities, large and small, while their parents are serving our nation.
With a focus on the environment, Operation Purple delegates will have the opportunity to spend quality time learning and exploring outside. Different events and activities will be held outdoors each day so that the teens can enjoy the beauty of our world while learning how to make a difference.
Operation Purple camp at Spark the Wave will be held July 15 to 20 at Villanova University, a suburban campus located outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Please contact Laura Payne, OP Camp Director, if you're interested in attending this program or if you have any questions at Luara@sparkthewave.org
