What is Wave Week Moldova?
WAVE WEEK MOLDOVA is an intensive 6 day residential leadership and community service program affiliated with Spark the Wave USA and locally organized by the Creative Development Association (www.usalumni.md). This is one of the first summer schools in Moldova that combines both leadership and community service concepts, taught exclusively in English. This will be our fourth Wave Week in Moldova.

Wave Week Moldova will help you become a future leader, by developing your skills in planning, project management, leadership and communications. Our interactive, hands-on classes will offer a practical insight on all concepts pertaining to leadership. The working language of the summer school is English. The teachers and staff of the summer school are native and proficient English speakers, providing an excellent opportunity to practice your English skills. Volunteering is an important aspect of a delegate’s experience at Wave Week Moldova. It will represent your opportunity of positively impacting the community through hands-on activities and service projects, implemented during our summer school, and involving 2 dimensions: people-to-people and environmental. One delegate attending Wave Week Moldova might be selected by teachers and staff to receive a tuition & travel scholarship to Wave Week USA 2012. Selection will be based upon participation and leadership during summer school and community service activities after the program. - Support the Moldovan-American cooperation
Wave Week Moldova is an American program organized in cooperation with and for the benefit of the Moldovan community. Spark the Wave plans to expand this program to American delegates in the future.

Who can participate?
Teens from all regions of Moldova (including from the transnistrian region) aged 13-18 (who have not enrolled in a university course and are still attending high school), with an advanced knowledge of English and high motivation to get involved. In order to be approved as final participants, applicants will have to pay a non-refundable fee of 700 lei (as soon as notified of acceptance) and be responsible for own transportation to campsite Institutul Muncii. Where will Wave Week Moldova take place?
Wave Week Moldova will take place at the national formation center Institutul Muncii from Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Registration in the program implies that you will be accommodated at the facility throughout the entire period of the summer school: 1-6 August.
